Black-headed Grosbeak
The first visitors to our feeders were Black-headed
Grosbeaks. Thesehave been a lot more daring than the grosbeaks we saw in Mill
Creek.

An unusual Slate-colored junco, spotted near the
feeders in December of 2003. The brown-backed "Oregon" juncos are a lot more
common in the area.

This Wilson's Warbler was seen in the backyard near the
feeders in late July of 2003.

Mourning Dove
Unusual for the area, we have 2 or 3 Mourning Doves
hanging around in the driveway and near the feeders. This one was seen in an
old tree in November of 2003.

Douglas Squirrel
This squirrel is one of the critters that enjoys the
quail and dove feeder.

Townsend Chipmunk
Another critter that likes the cracked corn and peanuts
in the quail and dove feeder.

Black-tailed Deer
This buck showed up in our yard to have a scratch in
early August of 2003.

Aplondontia
A Mountain Beaver, sighted grazing on dandelions in our
front yard in July of 2003. It looks a bit like a cat-sized, dark brown guinea
pig.
