Black-bellied Plover
This plover was spotted at Damon Point State Park near Ocean Shores, WA during late April of 2002. Although from the shiny back it appears to be one of the "golden" plovers, the underparts identify it as a male Black-bellied.
Sanderling

This lone Dunlin showed up at the Montlake Fill in Seattle one fall. Although we get huge numbers of Dunlin during the winter, seeing one in breeding plumage is a rare treat.
